Group Delta’s Student Mentorship Program exemplifies their commitment to community engagement and education. Launched in Spring 2016 in partnership with the Anaheim Union High School District, the program—known as Anaheim’s Innovative Mentoring Experience (AIME)—aims to empower students to succeed academically, professionally, and personally. Through this initiative, students gain hands-on experience in construction materials testing for steel, asphalt, soil, concrete, and masonry. They also participate in site visits to notable Anaheim projects, such as the Anaheim Convention Center Expansion, Lennar’s A-Town multifamily housing, and the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), to observe the practical application of laboratory testing in the field.
Further reinforcing their dedication to nurturing future professionals, Group Delta offers internships at their Anaheim laboratory for graduating seniors who have completed the AIME program. The program’s partnerships extend to the City of Anaheim and local high schools, including Katella, Western, and Magnolia High Schools. Group Delta’s mission through this mentorship initiative is to inspire and prepare the next generation for success in their academic pursuits, careers, and community involvement.
Group Delta’s Technical Papers section showcases the firm’s extensive contributions to geotechnical and environmental engineering research. Co-authored by the company’s principal engineers, these papers reflect decades of expertise in areas such as foundation design, seismic analysis, ground improvement, and pile testing. Notable works include studies on shallow foundation design for large industrial plants, analyses of seismic impacts on pile foundations, and evaluations of soil improvement techniques using stone columns and surcharge methods.
These publications have been presented at prestigious conferences and published in respected journals, underscoring Group Delta’s commitment to advancing engineering knowledge and best practices. The firm’s research not only informs their own project approaches but also contributes valuable insights to the broader engineering community.
