Dade Moeller to Highlight New Ownership, Capabilities under NV5 at National Health Physics Society Meeting in Maryland

RICHLAND, Wash. – January 17, 2017 – Long-time health physics firm Dade Moeller will highlight its new ownership under NV5 at the 50th Midyear Meeting of the Health Physics Society, to be held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center from January 22–25. Dade Moeller joined NV5 Global, Inc., a provider of professional and technical engineering and consulting solutions, in May 2016.

“We have been well known as ‘Dade Moeller’ within the health physics community for 22 years,” explained President Dave McCormack, “so this meeting is an important opportunity for us to reaffirm our identity and continue to inform our colleagues of the new capabilities we offer as a part of NV5.”

The company looks forward to emphasizing at the meeting that Dade Moeller’s niche radiation safety expertise will remain as an important component of NV5’s services, especially within its environmental and energy business lines. In fact, one of the reasons NV5 sought out the company for acquisition last year was its strong reputation in health physics and safety-related services.

“Our goal is to make sure our fellow health physicists know that the name ‘NV5’ is as synonymous with ‘excellence’ in the field of health physics as the name ‘Dade Moeller’ has been since its inception in 1994,” said NV5 senior health physicist and former Health Physics Society president Edward F. Maher. “Our name is changing, but not the experience, expertise, or radiation related services we offer.”

At its exhibit booth number 215, the NV5 team also will highlight some of the new capabilities available through the company as a result of joining NV5, such as energy performance, environmental engineering, and community relations and outreach. Additionally, the company will emphasize that, by joining NV5, its health physics services now are available through 65 offices nationwide.

An affiliate member of the Health Physics Society, NV5 employs more certified health physicists than any other company in the United States. Three NV5 health physicists will attend the meeting in Bethesda.
