West Houston Hospital, MOB and Central Plant

The West Houston Hospital was built on a 40-acre greenfield site for an initial phase of 150 to 200 beds, with final development of 400 to 600 beds. The facility is a multi-story acute care hospital/bed tower with diagnostic, treatment, ancillary functions, and acute care patient rooms.

Energy-efficient design strategies were implemented throughout the hospital to promote healing and ensure comfort. A six-story atrium provides natural light to patient rooms and staff areas and as a wayfinding tool for people in the building.
