Prior to joining NV5, his professional journey encompassed a wide range of roles, allowing him to amass comprehensive knowledge across the industry. Mike’s career path evolved from hands-on design work to assuming leadership roles such as general manager, where he oversaw teams of designers. With a passion for collaboration, Mike finds great personal satisfaction working with owners and design teams to create functional and cost-effective technology solutions. His extensive portfolio includes the completion of numerous projects spanning various markets, including higher education, K-12, healthcare, corporate, and government. With his diverse background, there are few project types that Mike has not encountered.

Osman Bhatti

With more than two decades of experience working on large-scale, complex projects across the globe, Osman has built an extraordinary portfolio of work. His projects span a diverse range of markets, including iconic structures like the Burj Khalifa and one of the world’s largest shopping malls. Osman embraces all challenges, finding particular enjoyment in devising innovative approaches for implementing technology, even when those approaches have yet to be explored. His professional journey has seen him excel in various roles, such as designer, consultant, project manager, discipline leader, and managing partner, enabling him to establish a reputation for understanding stakeholder needs and overcoming obstacles throughout the lifespan of a project. Above all, Osman is passionate about delivering optimal solutions to every one of his projects.

David Davis

David brings clients over 20 years of systems design and project management experience. He delivers innovative solutions to clients in all aspects of project design and implementation. With a focus on consulting, design, project management and commissioning of audiovisual and information technology systems, David’s project experience spans a variety of markets including education, corporate, government and private sectors.

Shaun Harker

With over 25 years in the technology industry, Shaun specializes in disruptive technologies, optical networking, and passive optical networks. As a co-founder of the Association for Passive Optical LAN (APOLAN), Shaun possesses a deep understanding of passive optical LAN technologies and their optimal application within an enterprise. He deeply enjoys witnessing the realization of client discussions and project drawings coming to life, resulting in tangible, real-world benefits. Shaun brings a wealth of experience across a wide array of markets, including higher education, corporate, mixed-use, government (local, state, and federal), and hospitality sectors, enriching his ability to cater to diverse industry needs.

Justin Meyer

As a seasoned acoustician, Justin offers a wealth of experience in acoustical design, testing, and modeling. His deep understanding of audiovisual design, business development, and marketing, set him apart from other acoustical consultants. Justin’s extensive experience has been gained through the successful completion of projects encompassing architectural acoustics, room acoustics, sound isolation, sound masking, mechanical noise, industrial noise, vibration control, and environmental noise. His expertise spans various sectors, including higher education, K-12, healthcare, corporate, multi-family/hotel, worship, civic, and government, making him a highly versatile and valuable professional.

Travis Seibel

Travis contributes insightful perspective to every team he’s on, from discovery of the owner’s technical requirements to project coordination to final inspection. He is especially appreciated for the way he educates owners and architects in new emerging trends and technologies. Travis’ 20+ years of audiovisual experience combine with a deep understanding of acoustics, production lighting, broadcast, and information technologies to deliver flexible, intuitive and appropriate technology systems.

Mary E. Cook

With over three decades of experience, Mary got her start as a roadie for a variety of musical acts touring internationally. She then combined her love of music and technology and embarked on a career as a professional technology designer. Mary brings expertise in all facets of audio and video, from corporate business solutions to higher education to libraries, performing arts, entertainment and sports & recreation venues. Formerly an application engineer for Bose Corporation and Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW), Mary traveled the globe designing large scale professional sound systems for stadiums, arenas, performing arts centers, theatres, auditoriums, historic sites, and other public spaces. Combining the technical with the artistic, she has extensive experience managing projects from early conception all the way through completion. A fierce advocate for women in the industry, Mary was inducted into the SCN Hall of Fame in 2017.

Monte Thyden

A professional with over a decade of experience, Monte utilizes a highly intuitive approach to deliver owners an unparalleled user experience. He brings demonstrated success working with multiple stakeholders to create functional, intuitive, and elegant software solutions. Offering owners ease of use today and flexibility for the future, Monte is an expert in the programming of complex audiovisual systems for video/teleconferencing, presentation systems, and other applications. Beyond project work, he provides technical leadership for our software development team. With work spanning a variety of markets including higher education, corporate, institutional, and government, Monte has seen – and done – it all.

Ernie Beck

Ernie has been in the commercial audiovisual and unified communication design and integration field for over 10 years. His depth of experience stems from having worked in various positions including systems technician, design engineer, consultant, and account executive. Experience in technology deployments ranges from clients in the multi-national enterprise space, to the US Department of Defense. Having spent many of his formative years in the systems contracting industry, Ernie brings an understanding of real-world challenges posed by complex technology deployments. Ernie also brings a high degree of knowledge behind integrating unified communications and collaboration software (UCC) with ergonomically designed hardware systems.

As our resident project specialist in the emerging Intelligent Building Technology space, Ernie works to ensures his clients are considering future-ready communications infrastructure, data collection health and safety, system efficiency, and enhanced occupant experiences. Intelligent Buildings require a multi-disciplinary approach lead by a particular type of technology generalist; one who understands how and why various building technologies should integrate to achieve an owner’s vision. NV5’s multidisciplinary structure combines engineering and technology, giving us an edge when looking at an Intelligent Building approach.
