The deposition process is an integral part of the “Theatre of Law.” The deposition process is intended to reveal the qualities of the deponent and expose how he or she might perform “on stage,” or in this circumstance, in court. An adjuster’s skill in deposition testimony is critical to both the insurance provider and to secure confidence in the adjuster. This course provides insight into the expectations of the deposition and how to anticipate intended by opposing council to diminish the adjuster’s performance and confidence.
About Ralph Moon, PhD., CIAQP, MRSA, CHMMWith more than 39 years of experience, Dr. Moon specializes in the determination of the cause, origin and duration of water losses associated with insurance claims. In this capacity he conducts site investigations and, when necessary, serves as an expert witness representing either the defendant or plaintiff when an insurance claim seeks resolution in court. Dr. Moon supports his opinions with results obtained from published research studies of which he is a contributing author. About Robert “Bob” Schulte, Esq.Robert “Bob” Schulte is a member of the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice in all state courts of Florida. Mr. Schulte received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2009 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida in 2006. Since 2012 his practice has almost exclusively been representation of Florida’s insurers in homeowners and commercial insurance matters relating to sinkhole claims, water claims, windstorm claims, hail claims, collapse claims, fire claims, theft claims, business interruption claims, extra expense claims, assignment of benefits issues, misrepresentations in insurance applications, and more. He has assisted carriers with providing coverage opinions, responses to civil remedy notice allegations, and conducted examinations under oath. His litigation experience includes depositions, summary judgment arguments, jury trials through jury verdict, and post-trial litigation of attorney’s fees and appeals.
