This course will educate property insurance adjusters about various construction defects that result in damage to a building. The various defects may be the result of design deficiencies, construction deficiencies, improper/deferred maintenance, and/or material defects.

With almost 24 years of structural design, consulting, and forensics experience, Mr. Rhoads is a well respected professional seeing solutions to complex designs and forensic investigations applying his knowledge and understanding of several national and state building codes, design reference standards, and technical topics. Mr. Rhoads’ design and consulting experience include emergency services facilities, educational facilities, commercial and residential structures, marine structures, retaining wall structures, and agriculture structures. His forensic investigations include assessments for construction defect, wind loss, hail damage loss, vehicle and tree impacts to structures, subsidence of structures, structural fire assessments, and restoration drawings.
