NV5 has been contracted by the City of Bakersfield to provide construction management services for the Westside Parkway project located along the Kern River from Truxton Avenue to Allen Road. This new east-west freeway will replace existing State Route 58 and is a long-needed thoroughfare which will significantly reduce traffic congestion and will be an important link in the overall connectivity of the local transportation system.
The project is being administered by the Thomas Roads Improvement Program (TRIP). TRIP projects are considered necessary to relieve the stress on outdated infrastructure, caused by years of rapid growth in population, interregional travel, and freight movement.
