NV5 making an Impact at the Boise State University Career Fair

Kudos to the NV5/WHPacific team in Boise, who exhibited at the Boise State University (BSU) Fall Career Fair last month, seeking prospective interns and new recruits. Well over 100 students and staff members visited the booth, where the most commonly asked questions were about internship opportunities and NV5 services and office locations. The students were primarily interested in careers in MEP engineering, water resources, and structural engineering, and they seemed most impressed by NV5’s wide array of services and locations. At the booth, we featured a Trimble SX10 Scanning Total Station and a DJI Phantom 4 Pro Drone, which the Boise surveying group uses. These two items helped draw students to the booth, while the the infrastructure brochure and collateral sheets for MEP, water resources, and structural services were the most popular materials.

A student who attended the career fair called Water Resource Director Mike Homza the next day and shared the following, “I just wanted to call and say thanks to all of you for spending your time and thoughts with me yesterday. It was valuable for me to hear your perspectives. I felt you were genuinely concerned about me as a person and my career, rather than just trying to fill an open position.”
