NV5 was awarded the contract to provide design services for Witter Gulch Road in Clear Creek County, Colorado. The project will consist of pavement and drainage improvements along approximately 2.4 miles of Witter Gulch Road from its intersection with County Road 103 to Aspen Place.
Witter Gulch Road is currently a gravel road with a 50-foot right of way. The proposed design includes a two lane, 22 foot wide asphalt pavement section with gravel shoulders including, drainage improvements such as inlets, culverts and borrow ditches. Additional anticipated improvements include subgrade stabilization and retaining wall construction necessary to ensure the long term integrity of the paved road.
Construction is scheduled to begin early 2013.
