Austin Central Library

The Austin Central Library provides access to digital information, technology, and community resources, as well as traditional books. Located in the Seaholm EcoDistrict, a vibrant hub of residential, office, and community gathering spaces, the Central Library is the primary facility of the Austin Public Library system.

The 198,000 SF LEED Platinum facility has been referred to as the most significant public building to open in Austin in decades, a state of the art facility complete with a rooftop butterfly garden, a “technology petting zoo,” children’s program area, teen center, underground parking, a flexible event center, a photovoltaic system, and a café.

NV5 provided total building commissioning services, which included the traditional full suite of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, as well as building envelope commissioning services.
