Supporting the Capital Projects and Facilities Management Division, NV5 inventoried, photographed, and tagged all fixed assets campus wide. This included developing a tagging nomenclature standard and tagging process for future inventories. Upon inventorying all assets, a Facilities Condition Assessment (FCA) was completed while determining deferred maintenance, regular maintenance, repair and renewal/replacement of facility assets required and developing associated costs. All FCA components were completed to ASTM Uniformat II Classification – Level 4 level of detail.
Two Data Centers, operated by DC Courts, were included in this assessment. All backbone cabling, servers, storage arrays, network equipment, and various appliances within each Data Center were assessed, tagged, and inventoried. Systems such as fire protection, UPS, and cooling were also assessed during this process.
These efforts support the development of the annual capital budget to fund renovations, improvements and expansions of Court facilities as well as the development of the annual capital budget to fund the maintenance of the existing infrastructure in Court facilities.
Additional efforts focused on the 123,000 GSF Building B to develop a construction phasing strategy and review services for the impending modernization and renovation project.
