KA Cirque Du Soleil at The MGM Grand Showroom

The “remodel” of the original FX Showroom within MGM Grand consisted of the complete demolition of all interior construction including the seating area floor. The stage trap floor was excavated for an additional story to house the new operable stage lift.

KA is the second largest of the Cirque De Soleil theaters with 1,951 seats, hydraulically operated stage, CO2 fog effects, and high pressure gas flame effects.

The custom programmable ventilation system is integrated into the show’s DMX control system to automatically assist the special effects by changing dampers and starting/stopping fans through the show with minimal effort by stage personnel.

Master planning included MGM Hotel and East; convention center demolition; 29th floor suites; Directors Club; guestroom remodel; health club; master plan; Emeril’s Fish House; office building; high limit gaming; Pearl Podium; Hollywood Theater; The Mansion; pool and spa; data center; security/slot office; EFX Theater; Studio 54; Cirque Theater; and Euro Pool.
