DFW Airport Retro-Commissioning & Infrastructure Condition Assessment

NV5 was awarded a $5 million contract to provide retro-commissioning, infrastructure asset condition assessment, and other services to modernize the airport’s asset portfolio over a five-year period. Services include multi-discipline facility condition assessments, cost estimation, and projected life cycle costs for various airport installations.

For more than 14 years, we have assisted DFW Airport in achieving both its land- and air-side facility and infrastructure goals, including commissioning services.

Projects under this contract to date have included an inventory and assessment of the ground support equipment at Terminals A, B, C, D, and E; HVAC assessment of the airport’s Fire Station No. 5, Trigg Lake Dam Inspection; and management of engineering services for the recertification of the South Sludge Pond at the airport’s Industrial Storm Water Treatment Plant.

DFW Airport is the third busiest airport in the world based on the number of operations and the tenth largest based on passengers (11.7 million annually). It serves 159 domestic non-stop destinations and 56 international destinations and has 20 cargo airlines providing worldwide freighter service.
