NV5 provided full-time inspection and administration for this facility. We also provided the design and were the prime contractor for this very fast-paced project that was completed on time and within budget. Flintco was the general subcontractor.
The Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Butterfly Treatment Center is a 25-bed inpatient and day-service outpatient facility located in Taos Pueblo, New Mexico. It offers youth an alternative to going to jail and is not a jail or a rehabilitation facility. NV5 completed this project as the prime design-build contractor.
Throughout the design and building efforts, NV5 and its team used lean design principles to reduce waste, save time and money, and deliver a quality project. NV5 and Flintco were able to complete the center in 11 months, which included the time needed for an environmental assessment, survey, geotechnical analysis, and reviews by Taos Pueblo and the Children Youth and Families Department (CYFD) of the State of New Mexico.
