NV5 has provided environmental laboratory consulting support to various clients across the US.

The NV5 team set up the quality assurance manual (QAM) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for a government laboratory, allowing them to achieve ISO 17025 accreditation in 2013. NV5 continues to work with them, updating their QAM, writing technical SOPs and providing training to them.  NV5 has worked with this client from 2011 to the present.

For one client, NV5’s team wrote the QAM and helped staff write technical SOPs. The lab started with minimal quality systems and then achieved accreditation by Florida State under The NELAC Institute (TNI) 2009 Standard. NV5 worked with them to update to the TNI 2016 standard. NV5 currently provides efficiency evaluations; technical evaluations; lab audits; internal audit training; data integrity training; SOP review based on 2009 and 2016 TNI criteria; Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Methods; and various technical method requirements in organics, wet (general) chemistry and metals. NV5 leads the field team to achieve TNI Field Sample Management Organization (FSMO) accreditation.  NV5 has worked with this client from 2013 to the present.

NV5 performed laboratory internal audit and mentoring on how to perform internal audits to a small laboratory.  NV5 also provided data integrity training, management support, data review, SOP review and QAM reviews.  This work was performed in 2019-2020.
