UMass Amherst Hampshire Dining Commons

The Hampshire Dining Commons was designed to complement, and not compete with, the recently renovated Berkshire Dining Commons at UMass Amherst. Due to their close proximity, both Berkshire DC and Hampshire DC are viewed as a single food service experience for the southwest quadrant of campus, allowing for an expanded palette of themes and food service delivery ideas.

The renovations focused on interweaving retail and entertainment with the dining experience and accommodates both the user group for the existing facility, as well as the additional new users from the Commonwealth Honors Residential College Complex.

This project received LEED Gold certification.
