Industrial Scientific Corporate Headquarters

Serving as the brand new global headquarters for Industrial Scientific, the global leader in gas detection, this 200,000 SF building aids the company in consolidating all of their operations from customer services to manufacturing into one location. This facility also offers many new spaces to increase collaboration and maximize efficiency within the company. Communication is key in any business, and the numerous conference spaces within the facility help promote discussion among employees and management.

Located on the main floor of the building, the atrium can be used as a large presentation space for company events and meetings. A distributed sound system provides complete sound coverage of what is taking place in the atrium on all five floors of the building. The Training Room and Multifunction Room feature similar audiovisual systems designed primarily for presentations. Both contain a single ceiling-mounted projector and a distributed sound system. The Training Room’s presentation system is capable of displaying content from various source devices such as personal laptop, document camera, and auxiliary audiovisual source devices.

Throughout the building, occupants will find room scheduling displays outside the conference rooms. These displays allow users to quickly and easily find and reserve rooms for meetings. Strategically placed flat panel displays for digital signage also offer visitors, employees, and management information about the happenings of the company. The facility is secured by access control at the security gate, video surveillance, and an access control biometric-card reader system that uses fingerprints to gain entrance into the building. Vice President of Customer Operations Garth Miller states that the new headquarters provides “employees a state-of-the-art facility from which they can continue to serve our customers and deliver innovative, live-saving products and services.”
