NV5 provided MEP/FP engineering for the renovations to St. George’s School’s historic Memorial Schoolhouse. The academic building was originally constructed in 1923 in memory of alumni and faculty who lost their lives in World War I, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It houses three floors, a basement and a sub-basement.
The scope of the internal renovations included six classrooms, a lounge, and bathrooms on the 1st floor, and restrooms, two classrooms, two offices, and a completely redesigned large study hall on the 2nd floor.
The 3rd floor space included mechanical rooms, a storage room, and a completely redesigned IDF/AV room. Finally, a new main electrical room and a new MDF room were designed on the basement level.
