Mount Washington Hotel Preservation

Consistent, extreme winter conditions took their toll on the 1902-built Omni Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire, including significant ice damage to this historic property’s iconic red roof.

NV5 was retained as the Owner’s Project Manager for the historic preservation of the roof. The project involved creation of a cold roof system to eliminate ice damage; installation of exterior wall stucco to include insulation; insulation of all flat roof systems; installation of interior roof drains; fabrication of zero maintenance historic ornate fixtures on the building; structural upgrades; and a full rebuild of the stone-lined porte cochere, maintaining its historic features.
