The Thornton Hospital Cardiovascular Center at the University of California San Diego is an 189,000 square foot expansion of the existing state-of-the-art cardiovascular facilities and emergency center at UCSD East Campus Medical Complex.
NV5 is performing all of the inspection and testing services for the project, including concrete, masonry, welding (shop & field), fireproofing, roofing, approval of concrete mix designs, concrete compression, unit weight of lightweight concrete, non-destructive testing of welds, high strength bolts, anchorages, and ceiling wire pull-out testing.
The Thornton Hospital Cardiovascular Center will unify UC San Diego’s patient care, clinical research, and teaching programs in heart and vascular disease and stroke management.
