Villanova University John & Joan Mullen Center for Performing Arts

This new, 78,000 square foot facility is considered to be one of Villanova’s most transformational projects. The state-of-the-art building supports the university’s theatre, music, and dance programs. Creating a cultural hub on campus, the facility brings unique spaces for performance, rehearsal, education and dance, all under one roof.

The performing arts center includes a 400-seat proscenium theatre, a 200-seat black box theatre, a performance lab, a scene shop, a costume shop, a choral rehearsal room, classrooms, dressing rooms, green rooms, a grand lobby, and offices.

The 400-seat performing arts space includes high quality sound reinforcement systems, a digital mixing console, surround sound systems, robust cabling, an analog/fiber optic tie-line system, a front projection presentation system, a rear projection cinema projection system, video capture systems, and a wireless production intercom system.

Additional systems throughout the facility include IPTV systems, campus-standard classroom audiovisual systems, flexible sound/video features throughout the black box theater, and recording/playback systems in the choral rehearsal space.
