NV5 provided Owner’s Project Management (OPM) services for the renovation to the existing club and the addition of a performance art/program space to the West End House Boys & Girls Club in Allston, Massachusetts.
The building, which was originally built in 1970, underwent a renovation which updated some of the interior spaces, including MEP and IT infrastructure, general finish and flooring replacement, remodeling of new administration space, and improvements to the existing kitchen, athletic locker rooms, lounge, and pool and gym area. The addition helped address the needs of the arts program and includes a dance studio, photo laboratory, arts room, computer room, library, and lounge. The new flexible performance space opens onto outdoor space. A new staircase links the renovated space with the addition.
Construction was phased to allow the space to remain functional and fully occupied.
