Westlake Village Studios is one of the most technically advanced high definition production facilities in the U.S. The state-of-the-art studio is integrated into the Four Seasons Hotel, California Health & Longevity Institute, and the Spa and Wellbeing Complex. In order to assure the studio facility provides users the best environment for creation and production, a comprehensive studio consultation was performed. Services included studio rigging and lighting system planning, design, contract documentation and construction review.
The production area encompasses 6,000 square feet with a 21 foot grid height. Studio lighting controls are highly effective with 380 dimming circuits, capable of illuminating a maximum capacity of over 1.5 million watts. With the push of a button, thirty overhead motorized winch systems suspend a full complement of studio lighting and grip equipment, scenic elements, and other production gear.
Production studio control rooms are connected via fiber to 28 remote access points distributed throughout the hotel, conference center, wellbeing center, spa, kitchens and gardens. The fiber infrastructure allows producers to make use of the entire property for location shooting.
With an audience capacity of 250, the production facility contains innovative illumination and rigging systems, allowing for the creation of advanced, high-quality productions.
