NV5 provided design-level geotechnical engineering for this 156-MWDC utility-scale solar site in central Colorado. The scope of the investigation on the 1,300-acre project site included extensive exploratory borings, trenching to facilitate in-situ thermal resistivity testing, seismic refraction analysis and field electrical resistivity testing, and the development of an investigatory pile load testing program to facilitate the design of economical foundation systems.
