The East Coast Greenway will be a 3,000-mile long bicycling and walking route between Key West, Florida, and Calais, Maine, that will connect the major urban centers along the eastern seaboard.
On behalf of the East Coast Greenway Alliance, NV5 and Econsult Solutions, Inc., prepared an impact report titled “Investing in our Future: Quantifying the Impact of Completing the East Coast Greenway in the Delaware Valley” that was unveiled at the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Greenways & Trails Summit in Philadelphia.
The report examined the transportation, tourism, economic, health, and environmental benefits of the build-out of the remaining 89 miles of East Coast Greenway in the greater Philadelphia area. It summarized the $2.2 billion in one-time economic benefits and $840 million in annual benefits that the completion of the trail would bring.
