NV5 - Elizabeth George Water Treatment Plant

Elizabeth George Water Treatment Plant

NV5 performed a geotechnical investigation, prepared a storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP), and provided materials testing and special inspection services for development of this water treatment facility. Improvements included reinforcement and improvement of existing facilities and building new structures — including a flocculation/sedimentation basin, gravity filter, and clarification basin — along with paved roadways and underground utilities.

The geotechnical investigation included site reconnaissance, literature review, site investigation, and a subsurface investigation. Relatively undisturbed soil samples and bulk soil samples from 15 exploratory borings were collected and tested in order to provide recommendations for earthwork and structural improvements.

NV5 also prepared the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for the project and provided materials testing and special inspection during mass grading, backfilling of utility trench excavations, preparation of subgrade, and building of aggregate base.
