The Miami International Airport People Mover (“MIA Mover”) is a light rail, 1.23 mile automated system that transports passengers and employees from Miami International Airport to the Miami Intermodal Center, an intermodal transportation hub that links the airport to rental car companies, Tri-rail, and Metrorail.
The project included a 41,007-sq-ft station and a 1.23-mi-long guideway. NV5 was awarded the geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services, including geotechnical consulting services for pile foundations, roadway, and elevated structures.
Various construction materials testing and inspection services, including threshold inspections, were performed for the $259 Million People Mover Elevated Rail project. NV5’s ability to deliver quality service was demonstrated by our immediate response to on-call service requests and our willingness to provide additional services outside the original scope of the project.
