Route 206 – Waterloo/Brookwood Road Improvements

To address existing safety and operational problems along this section of roadway, NV5 provided comprehensive professional services consisting of scoping, preliminary & final design, and construction support services.

This transportation safety project involved 1.2 miles of roadway widening improvements on Route 206 within Byram Township, New Jersey, including two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane, improved access to businesses, sidewalks, sight distance and drainage upgrades, and improvements at three signalized intersections.

Project activities included: extensive community outreach, base mapping preparation/survey; roadway deficiency analysis; roadway plan development; drainage design; stormwater management design (including four control basins); environmental permitting services (NJDEP Flood Hazard Area/Freshwater Wetlands/TWA Permit/ Reforestation Plan; NJ Highlands); geotechnical evaluation; utility investigations/relocations; relocation and design sanitary sewer force main; retaining wall and drainage structures design (bridge replacement); preparation of access and ROW documents; traffic services; gateways/ streetscape/plaza area; and construction support services.
