This 2-mile long project consisted of new construction, milling and resurfacing, and minor re-alignment.
The project also involved retrofitting of existing urban storm water systems including pipes, inlets, and headwalls and the design of an innovative storm water treatment facility. The western pond is designed with many enhancements including fountains, waterfall, brick pavers, pedestrian seating, walkways, and lighting serving as the “western gateway” to the City of Gainesville.
This section of roadway runs from NW 38th Street to North-South Drive.
