University of Minnesota Center for Magnetic Resonance Research

The expansion space provides room for additional research magnets, including space for a 10.5-T magnet, to keep the University of Minnesota on the cutting edge of advancements in the field of magnetic resonance imaging technology.

The new 10.5-T magnet is the world’s largest medical imaging magnet.

The project is part of the University’s ongoing expansion of the Academic Health Center. The existing building is a 39,100 SF, one-story facility.
