NV5 Employees Gear Up For CASQA 2022 Conference

The 2022 California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA) Annual Conference is taking place at the Palm Springs Convention Center October 24th – 26th. The CASQA Annual Conference offers a unique opportunity to interact with professionals in the stormwater field.

At NV5, demonstrating and advancing our expertise through the power of the podium is how we enhance our reputation. Vice President of Water Resources David Renfrew and Associate Consultant Austin Kay have been selected to present at this year’s conference. David Renfrew will help lead an Industrial General Permit training workshop on October 24th. Austin Kay will co-present with Melissa Varela from Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District on October 25th in the monitoring and special studies track which highlights innovations in monitoring programs. Austin and Melissa’s presentation, “Joining Forces to Track a Moving Target – A Riverside County Case Study of Dry Weather Flow Monitoring,”  highlights a straightforward and effective tool to track and predict complex dry weather urban runoff flow patterns to quickly identify and eliminate persistent and intermittent sources. They will discuss a few unique scenarios and walk through the steps taken to jointly respond to suspiciously high flowing discharges.
