The Technology & Acoustics group within NV5 is a collaborative team of more than 120 technology professionals who are passionate about shaping how people experience the built environment. We specialize in the planning and design of systems and spaces across a wide range of markets, including education, justice, public safety, hospitality, healthcare & behavioral health, cultural & arts, corporate, sports & recreation, government, worship, and aviation & transportation.
Our roots trace back to 1995, when The Sextant Group was founded with a mission to help clients make sense of rapidly evolving technologies. Since joining NV5 in 2019, Sextant has been joined by Mediatech Design Group, KMK Technologies, TDSi, and Professional Systems Engineering (PSE). Together, these teams form a combined global practice, bringing diverse perspectives, expanded capabilities, and a shared commitment to our Artistic Engineeringâ„¢ approach. Today, our work is delivered by unified studios with a global footprint, all aligned under the NV5 name and focused on a single goal: delivering innovative and effective technology solutions while making sense of the future in the context of today.
We are deeply invested in our people and their expertise. Nearly all of our technical specialists hold advanced credentials in their respective disciplines, and our inclusive, collaborative process ensures solutions are developed with our clients, not just for them.
Our award-winning consulting practice is fiercely independent, meaning we receive no incentives or revenue from any representation, manufacture, sale, or installation of any product, and have no ongoing affiliation with any entity that sells or installs related systems or services. This ensures you can trust us for completely unbiased recommendations based on each project’s unique needs and goals. We represent only your best interests, providing objective, vendor-neutral counsel.
