Get to know us … The Sextant Group, now NV5

Our mission statement:

Through visionary and technical leadership and a commitment to process, The Sextant Group – now NV5 – provides our clients with innovative and effective technology solutions, making sense of the future in the context of today.

NV5’s technology and acoustics staff is a devoted group of tech aficionados who live and breathe all things technology. We specialize in the planning and design of systems and spaces for markets including education, healthcare, cultural, corporate, sports & rec, government, and hospitality.

Founded by Mark Valenti in 1995, The Sextant Group operated with a mission to help clients navigate an ever-changing technology landscape. Now technology design efforts come from several companies across the world who joined NV5 with a shared passion for technology. The result brings together over 100 tech nerds to one team — NV5. With our expanded capabilities and world-wide footprint, we have strengthened the commitment set forth in our mission statement: to deliver innovative and effective technology solutions, making sense of the future in the context of today.

We’re passionate about technology — 100% of technical specialists hold advanced credentials in their respective disciplines — and are committed to an inclusive process for delivering Best-in-Class solutions designed with you, for you.

Our award-winning consulting practice is fiercely independent, meaning we receive no incentives or revenue from any representation, manufacture, sale, or installation of any product, and have no ongoing affiliation with any entity that sells or installs related systems or services. This ensures you can trust us for completely unbiased recommendations based on each project’s unique needs and goals. We represent only your best interests, providing objective, vendor-neutral counsel.

At NV5, our combined capabilities bring effective resolutions to complex issues. We take pride in helping our clients improve the places they live, work, and play.

What clients say about The Sextant Group, now NV5

We usually do our own AV design, but I’m so glad we didn’t — Sextant [now NV5] was worth every penny!Jonathan Sibray

In my opinion, the RFP in your spec is one of the best written RFP’s I have seen. In my opinion it very clearly describes the intent and requirements for the subs, enabling us and the owner to hold them accountable to provide complete functional systems. So I guess I’m trying to say… Thanks for your efforts and attention to detail!Michael Brumley, P.E., LEED AP
BD+CDesign Manager, Kiewit Building Group Inc.
I have no doubt your faculty development workshop will transform our concept of learning and set the stage for what is possible for years to come.Sandy Bretz

I like working with designers like yourselves that do correct and best practice designs. I like doing them and customers are always happy in the end.Michael Getz
