For clients building new or renovating older facilities, NV5 provides energy audits and benchmarking services to inform the development of a facility energy design project.
Energy audits identify opportunities for energy conservation measures, and benchmarking services compare the utility usage of a facility to similar facilities to determine relative efficiency.
Once an energy audit is completed, NV5 performs facility energy design review of the architect or engineer’s proposed building design. These Energy-Conscious Design Reviews (ECDR) augment traditional energy system designs to reduce both capital costs of development and future electric, gas, and water costs. This cost-saving service is not typically provided by engineering firms.
