Trees & Utilities

Comprehensive remote sensing and analytics solution, and AR demo, demonstrate how geospatial insights improve safety, reliability and community alignment

HOLLYWOOD, Fla., September 17, 2026 – NV5, a TiC Solutions company and leading provider of geospatial software and services, will feature its end-to-end vegetation management solutions for electric utilities at the Trees & Utilities Conference, the leading event for utility professionals, urban foresters, and industry leaders dedicated to balancing reliable energy with environmental stewardship. NV5 also will join with ComEd for a session about how leveraging data and remote sensing help align vegetation management efforts with community needs.

During exhibit hours, stop by Booth 1101 to fuel up with an espresso while exploring how NV5 provides geospatial analysis that aids in tree risk assessment, fire mitigation, ground clearance assessment, integrated vegetation management (IVM), asset conflation, and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) compliance.

Vegetation Management Data Analytics Augmented Reality Experience

Experience vegetation analytics in action. NV5’s handheld augmented reality application will enable attendees to view fall‑in, grow‑in and overhang risks, overlaying vegetation management metrics directly onto the environment surrounding the convention center. An NV5 team member will be stationed outside the convention center each morning so attendees can try the demo as they arrive and see how this technology can benefit tree crews.

On Wednesday, September 23, at 4 p.m., NV5 will lead a dedicated group from our booth to an outdoor walkthrough for a full, guided demonstration.

Where Data Meets Community: A New Approach to Vegetation Management  Wednesday, September 23, 2:15-2:55 p.m.  Room B113-114

Utilities are increasingly leveraging data and remote sensing to better align vegetation management with community needs. During this session, NV5’s Andrew Brenner, vice president for Solution Engineering, and Jacob Hall, account manager, will be joined by Nick Day, principal program manager for ComEd, who will share how Equity Investment Eligible Communities (EIEC) are identified and monitored using key metrics. The session also highlights how strategies like lidar data and enhanced trimming can improve planning and resiliency, and discusses partnership efforts with the Arbor Day Foundation for a replacement tree program. Attendees will learn how socioeconomic considerations, remote sensing  and data-informed approaches can help shape vegetation management strategies within their service territories.

To learn more, schedule a meeting during the Trees & Utilities Conference.
