INSITE Data Reviewer

INSITE Data Reviewer moves geospatial quality control to the cloud to increase speed and reduce costs. An unlimited number of reviewers can access aerial imagery, lidar data, GIS layers, and more and make standardized QC calls to identify, track, and resolve quality issues.

THE CHALLENGE

Any major project delivering just about anything needs a process embedded as part of the project responsible for ensuring the quality of the final product. Testing or Quality Control is a pillar of sound project management to ensure whatever is delivered meets the standards and expectations for the project to ensure maximum return on investment. Additionally, huge files, costly desktop software, and inefficient review processes can make geospatial projects slow and painful. Quality control requires mailing hard drives, copying huge files, and tracking issues with email, spreadsheets, and screenshots. QC teams are restricted by desktop licenses, configuration times, and other IT resources. Communication and data distribution can delay projects by weeks or months.

THE QC SOLUTION

INSITE QC is our third module within the INSITE Lifecycle suite of products that’s responsible for facilitating and coordinating these activities ensuring your remote sensing data is of the utmost quality.

The INSITE QC module allows quality control teams and vendors to collaborate in real time on large datasets. Cloud-based QC increases speed by eliminating shipping and on-site file copying and reduces costs by replacing specialized desktop software. INSITE QC scales with your team so you can assign work to an unlimited amount of reviewers. Your team and your vendor view the same data at the same time to ensure project perfection in a single pass.

End to End Solutions

Manage and monitor your QC work from beginning to end. Initiate task assignments, review data, coordinate call management, and verify acceptance all within one platform.

Infinite Scalability

INSITE’s cloud-hosted architecture supports an unlimited number of quality control team members. Integrated work assignment tools eliminate confusion for large or distributed teams. Browser-based QC allows users to join the team without purchasing licenses for specialized desktop software. User groups allow multiple agencies and organizations to collaborate on joint-funded projects.

Real-Time Feedback

With INSITE Data Reviewer, your vendor’s processing team receives instant customer feedback in a standardized, georeferenced format, eliminating communication errors and reducing time to resolution. Real-time issue tracking improves visibility from project health to reviewer performance down to granular issues with individual data tiles. Centralized storage provides a complete audit trail for corrective action plans or budget review.

Concurrent Reviews

INSITE supports concurrent review of imagery, lidar, and vector data. Compare orthophotos with 3D terrain models to investigate elevation anomalies or load raster imagery to speed lidar point cloud QC. Configure standard QC calls by data type to standardize reporting, reduce problem assignment errors, and cut review times.
