The fundamentals of collecting, processing, and delivering survey information have changed dramatically in the 60 years we’ve been providing surveying and mapping services. Our clients’ needs have evolved, as has the technology. From traditional surveying techniques to cutting edge technology, NV5’s survey crews are at the forefront of meeting our clients’ needs.

We meet those needs by using the appropriate equipment for each unique project. Using our Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment, we can perform surveying tasks with sub-centimeter accuracy. And with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data collection, we can deliver the final product directly to your computer system in a variety of ready-to-use digital formats.

High-Definition Surveying

NV5 recognizes that to use technology to our client’s best advantage, selection of appropriate technology is critical. One example is the increasing demand for rapid collection of highly accurate data. That’s why we’ve invested in high-definition surveying (HDS) technology, giving us the ability to capture and measure millions of data points in a single site visit. The data is then delivered in a familiar environment, such as AutoCAD® or MicroStation®, and can be measured, mapped and modeled into the future.
